Pianist 

After graduation with a diploma of Science in Music (music awards, chamber music and music history) from the Regional Conservatories in Toulouse and in Pau, Cédric Boyer pursued his studies in Paris. He received a prize of Excellence from the Regional Conservatory in Versailles and the first prize from the Regional Conservatory in Aubervilliers La Courneuve. He plays fortepiano (early piano), of which he also has a diploma from the Conservatory in Toulouse. He won many competitions throughout his early career. In addition, he has a Master Degree in History from the University of Toulouse-Le Mirail.
Cédric Boyer is a refined pianist who places a high value in the art of phrasing and tone in search of elegance and the beauty of sound. “His music displays clarity, his unique personality and colors that he unveils.” His way of interpretation makes him an outstanding classical musician. His repertoire of predilection focuses mainly around works from the 18th century, works from the Romantic era and Russian works towards the end of 19th century.

Other than performing as a soloist and in concertos with orchestra, Cédric Boyer is a privileged partner with several musicians such as Clémence Gouet in duet alto/piano and Virginie Gros in duet four hands. He is regularly invited to perform in festivals in France and abroad: Debussy Museum and Prieuré Maurice Denis Museum in Saint-Germain-en-Laye, City Hall of the 5th and the 7th districts in Paris, château de Chambord, Piano Museum in Limoux, Museum Ingres de Montauban, Royal Chapelle of Rodez, Espace Georges Bernanos in Paris, Tourgeuniev in Bougival, Salle Capizucchi in Rome (French Institute), Kristiansand in Norway, ‘Les Valdéennes’, ‘The Musical Nights in Armagnac’, ‘Four-handed Piano in Auvillar’, ‘The Instants of Clairval’ in Carqueiranne, and ‘Musica Reservata’ in Brugge, Belgium.

As a passionate music teaching professional, Cédric Boyer is a devoted teacher who possesses high technical mastery and skills to develop love and understanding for music among his students. He provides artistic guidance to students at conservatories in Saint-Germain-en-Laye and in the 7th district of Paris and, during summertime, at the International Academy ‘Nuits Pianistiques’ in Aix en Provence And at ‘Musica Reservata’ in Brugge. In April 2018, he conducted a master class and performed concert in Boston. Every year he also tutors students for state examinations in Seine-Saint-Dénis and for various competitions.
