Denis Farinone

Saxophonist

A certified teacher, he teaches saxophone at the Conservatory at Radiation Régional d’Avignon and at the Conservatory in Intercommunal Radiation of Arles.
He has been taught by Serge Bichon and Claude Delangle and he is holder of the 2nd prize of the UFAM International Competition. Solicited by the orchestras of the Opera of Avignon, the Opera of Marseilles or the Monte Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra, he plays with the in the works of Maurice Ravel, George Gershwin, Giacomo Puccini…
Member of the Saxophone Quartet “AQUATRE”, he has worked during creations with composers such as Pascal GOBIN, Georges
BOEUF and Thierry ESCAICH.
He is the initiator of a project around the contemporary tango and the photographer Michel JOUVES with the training ” ARGENTIC TANGO”.
He performs regularly in sonata formation: ” DUO PASSERELLES”, currently around a programme on the spanish music .
Member of the saxophone ensemble “NDK”, which brings together the teachers in the South of France, he has a particular fondness for the
cultural and didactic exchanges around the teaching of the saxophone.
As an arranger, he frequently conducts saxophone ensembles.

IAs much invested in his role as a pedagogue as in his role of musician, he likes to develop ambitious and transversal projects, in a search for motivation and fulfilment for its students, around the music of the 20th and 21st century.
