Oboist
Born in Lyon, Guillaume Deshayes studied music at the CNSM in Paris in the classes of Jacques Tys, David Walter and Maurice Bourgue. He obtained a first prize in oboe and chamber music.
After leaving the Conservatoire, he had many musical experiences with the greatest orchestras (London Symphony Orchestra, London Philharmonic, Orchestre National de France, Orchestre du Capitole de Toulouse…) as well as with the greatest conductors (Lorin Maazel, Pierre Boulez, Ricardo Muti..etc). He is also pursuing a chamber music discography of French music from the beginning of the century with the Initium ensemble with whom he has recorded several CDs.
Since 2010, he has been Solo Oboe at the Toulon Provence Méditerranée Opera and since 2020 Professor of Oboe at the Conservatory of Aix en Provence.
