Kirill Rodin

Cellist
Born in Moscow in 1963, Kirill Rodin studied at the Moscow Special Gnessin School and then at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow in the class of Natalya Shakhoskaya.
Kirill Rodin teaches at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow. He is a guest professor at the Beijing Conservatory of Music and the Shanghai Conservatory of Music.
Kirill Rodin is a laureate of the Belgrade International Youth Music Competition for Cellists in 1984 where he won first prize.

In 1986, he was awarded first prize, gold medal at the VIII International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow.

Kirill Rodin has played in more than forty countries in Europe, Asia, America and Africa.
He is a member of the jury of the International Tchaikovsky Competition, the International Competition for Young Musicians, the Pan-Russian Competition for Cellists, the Carl Davydov Cello Competition, the L. Boccherini Cello Competition, the International Competition for Young Musicians, the Pan-Russian Competition for Cellists, the Carl Davydov Cello Competition and the L. Boccherini Cello Competition.
He gives Masterclasses in many European countries, Japan, China, Australia, New Zealand, United States, South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan.
He has performed with V. Gergiev, V. Fedoseev, Ch. Ditout, Yustas Frantz, M. Schastakovich, M. Gorenstein, V. Ovchinnokov, S. Stadler, M. Fedotov, F. Lips, N. Sachenko, A. Diev

He is a member of the Chamber of Soloists

He has recorded: Bach, Beethoven, Haydn, Brahms, Dvorak, Grieg, Paganini, Glinka, Tchaikovsky, Rakhmaninov, Arensky, Taneyev, Rimsky-korsakov, Borodin, Myaskovsky, Schostakovich, Piazzolla, and others.
