Vélitchka Yotcheva is one of the most gifted French-Canadian cellists in her generation. She began her studies at the age of five. In 1992, she obtained her Master of Arts degree from the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow. She emigrated to the Canada in 1995 and received his PHD in 2000 from the the Montreal University.

Soloist or with orchestra
Winner of international competitions, she performs as a soloist with orchestra and in recital.
Passionate about chamber music, she founded the Société de Musique de Chambre de
Montreal of which she is the artistic director. She has participated in prestigious festivals and
several series of concerts.
Vélitchka Yotcheva is also a recognized teacher, she regularly gives Master’s degrees
classes in Bulgaria, Canada and the United States.
In 2008, Mrs. Yotcheva created the I Cellisti Orchestra, an ensemble of twelve cellos.
The orchestra successfully performs throughout North America and performs its first
record in 2012.
