A major musical training centre in Europe
The international academy Les Nuits Pianistiques d’Aix-en-Provence is currently a major musical training centre in Europe
It offers lessons in : piano, violin, cello, oboe and harp as well as orchestral conducting, opera, musical theatre and so on.
Every summer since 2006, we have been organizing master classes and workshops where outstanding musicians teach their musical discipline (vocal or instrumental) to French or international students. Transmission of music to young people is a priority.
Our trainees, via the academy, get to know acclaimed teachers who they would otherwise not encounter. These teachers often become stepping stones for them to access renowned national and international musical training institutions.
The academy students’ concerts are unique and precious opportunities for these young people to play in public within a professional and career directed setting.
Students from all over ther world
The 2018 trainees of the academy received diversified training in every discipline . These students from all over France and the rest of the world : Belgium ,Germany, Italy, Rumania, Turkey, Russia, Israel, Japan,South Korea, Vietnam, China, the United States etc, of all levels and ages, had in common their appreciation of the atmosphere, the high quality training and the job opportunities that the academy offers. Many of them attended the festival’s evening concerts.
For two weeks our trainees received advice from a handpicked group of teachers who teach in the most prestigious French or international institutions as well as being, for the most part, internationally renowned concert players.
Musical elite training for professionals and amateurs
Our academy is a major hub of high level professional training that facilitates access to a professional career. However we do not forget the intermediate levels or the amateurs. The intermediate level will benefit from an early immersion into this intense and convivial learning environment. The latter also play an important part in the in the musical world. Their passion for music, without professional ambition, make this public precious in the eyes of our teachers.
